Shuro Tawashi Scrubber

A household staple in Japan, this vegetable brush- or ‘tawashi’- is made from shuro, soft woven palm fibres known for their durability. A traditional, all-natural scrubber, it can be used to scrub kitchen equipment such as pots and pans and wooden chopping boards, but just keep it away from more delicate items or teflon-coated pans. Due to its toughness you’ll also need to use less soap.
