A brilliantly nonsense piece of tableware: a ceramic ‘tokkuri’, or sake jug, in the form of a loudmouth cat, with two coordinating cups.
Use for serving sake, or just hard spirits if that’s how you roll. The cups are in the traditional ochoko style, intended for slow sipping during meals. This lucky cat’s collar and the cups are adorned with the symbol 福, meaning good luck, prosperity, and blessings.
They’re Minoyaki porcelain, crafted in Japan in the traditional ‘sometsuke’ blue and white colours.
Presented in a decorative gift box.
