Katakana Risograph Print

This A3 print features the basic Japanese katakana characters, each with their pronunciation in ‘romaji’ and an accompanying illustration.

It’s printed using the risograph technique: technology developed in Japan in the mid-1980s. The process produces prints with extremely vibrant, crisp inks, and sometimes these inks overlap during the printing process to create interesting and unique details.

Katakana characters are primarily used for onomatopoeia, scientific names, words with overseas origin and so on. Retro in style, the illustrations by Geri Coady are ideal for children and adult learners alike.
