Fuwafuwa the Cat Mamezara Plate

A tiny plate with endless possibilities. A mamezara, literally a ‘bean plate’, is a key part of everyday dining in Japan. Use for soy sauce, condiments, grated ginger or as a chopstick rest. Surprisingly useful.

These plates have been painted in the sometsuke technique near Mino, Japan. Fuwafuwa means ‘fluffy’ in Japanese; she’ll add a little feline joy to your table.
