Based in Taiwan, design studio Yenchen & Yawen explore the effect of time on unusual material combinations. Here, they have allowed metal filings within the resin lid to react over time, creating this gorgeous oceanic blue patina.

Paired with a contrasting solid brass box, the matte patination of the lid is particularly striking.

Each piece is unique and captures a fleeting moment of deterioration, beauty and reaction.
