Japanese Rice Wax Candle Set
These warosuku (Japanese candles) have been made for us by hand in the Daiyo atelier in Shiga, Japan, using traditional methods dating back to 1914. The wick, made by wrapping a dried reed around a washi paper cylinder, gives the candle a tall intense flame and generates minimal soot and smoke.
They’re made of natural rice wax, extracted from rice husks, which naturally lasts longer and burns steadily.
Contains 20 pieces, each approx. 8 cm tall and with a burn time of 40 minutes. The light may give you the time to enjoy a cup of coffee, or listen to some of your favourite music. A kind of timer, but one where you never feel rushed.
