During the Tanabata summertime festival, also known as the Star Festival, a stray cat wandered into a pottery studio in Mino, Japan. The potters named her Tanabata and with her friends they became the beloved pottery-cats and subjects of this decorative serving plate.
This minoware ceramic plate has been dyed using the traditional sometsuke technique.
Use for serving starters, small plates and large puddings.
Each plate measures 16 approx. cm wide. Dishwasher safe but for longevity hand wash.
Gift wrapped in tissue paper
