Well Tempered Chair Model Kit

Launch your own Miniature Design Museum, starting with this 1:16 scale paper model of the iconic Well Tempered Chair. Cut out and construct your first Ron Arad acquisition, to display within its complementary paper interior. The diorama also looks wowsers set within a vitrine.

Made in 1986 from four sheets of tempered steel, folded into shape and bolted together, this sculptural, post-modernist chair was one of the pieces exhibited at Arad’s renowned workshop/showroom One Off, where his experiments in unconventional, urban and artistic ways of creating space were realised. The chair was produced in the Vitra Edition series until recently.

The paper kit has been designed by Tomoko Azumi and printed by the Fukunaga Shiko paper fabricator in West Tokyo.
