Yenchen & Yawen, a Taiwanese design studio, investigates the influence of time on uncommon material pairings. Copper filings within the resin lid have been left to oxidise, producing the striking patina you see here.

Paired with a solid brass box, the patination contrasts spectacularly.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind, capturing a brief moment of deterioration, reaction and splendour.
