Based in Taiwan, design studio Yenchen & Yawen explore the effect of time on unusual material combinations, and investigate the idea of 'Kintsugi' - repairing not to disguise, but to decorate, embellish and celebrate.
The brass jewellery box is paired here with a contrasting matte black resin lid, inlaid with beautiful brass kintsugi detailing.
9cm across, and 3cm tall.
Each piece is unique and that the pattern may not exactly match that in the image.
Designed to reflect the passing of time, the piece may change colour slightly with age.
