Moku Cultivator
£59
As part of your essential tool-kit, cultivators are great for a myriad of tasks around the garden. They’re used by pro-gardeners to remove weeds, aerate compost and prepare soil for planting. They’re used by amateur gardeners to make them look legit.
This is a larger and sturdier model than many others on the market at 24cm long (hello Sailor).
Hand-forged by a father and son team in Japan’s Niigata Prefecture, we’ve picked this style for its good weight, strong steel tines and hanging loop.
Sponge clean, wipe dry and store in dry place. You can oil the cultivator from time-to-time to help prevent rust and condition the wood.
