Established in 1914 in Tokyo’s Asakusa district, Kanaya Brush has built a reputation as an expert in the field of brush making. Applying traditional techniques, skilled artisans cut each strand of natural hair to craft perfectly contoured brush tips.

For their body brushes, Kanaya’s craftsmen carefully pick and blend horse hair to create a medium firmness. These horse hair brushes provide moderate stimulation and wash away pore-clogging dirt without irritating the skin, a characteristic unique to natural horse hair. Horse hair has finer ends which are softer to the touch, making it suitable for even dry or sensitive skin.

Body-friendly natural materials are always best for reviving skin’s natural beauty. These brushes can be used daily for exfoliating in the shower, lathered up with soap or for dry brushing to help improve circulation. Gentle scrubbing is enough for deep cleansing and a skin massage.
