Miniature Wooden Vase: Tsurukubi
We discovered these pint-sized vases in Japan; their large presence in the room betrays their miniature size. Hokkaido-based craftsman Inoue Hiroyuki hand-turns each piece to express the beauty in the Maple wood, the individual grain, burl and tone, making each vase unique. That’s some sleight of hand, given that each pot is only a few centimeters tall.
The tsurukubi or ‘crane neck’ shape is inspired by traditional Japanese vases.
Individual pieces sit on the tip of the finger, position them together for magical effect.
Comes gift boxed.
Each piece is approx. 55mm tall, a perfect bud vase for dried stems. The vase is not waterproof.
Presented in a gift box and tissue paper.
