Kintsugi Incense Holder
£49
Based in Taiwan, design studio Yenchen & Yawen explore the effect of time on unusual material combinations. When craft meets chemistry, the results are beautiful serendipity.
This incense holder comes from their Landscape of Oxidation collection. Influenced by the philosophy and aesthetic of Kintsugi, which treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise, they’ve created a new casting method to repair cracked jesmonite with bronze powder.
Each object is unique and captures the beauty of a fleeting moment of repair.
Measures approx. 16cm long. Designed to reflect the passing of time, the piece may change colour slightly with age.
Presented in a gift box and tissue paper.
