Unique and beautiful piece of jewellery made by the Nozomi Project in Japan.
"Nozomi" means "hope" in Japanese. Founded after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, his Nozomi Project is an Ishinomaki-based social enterprise that employs and trains locals in the art of jewelry making.
Each piece embodies the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi: there is beauty in broken things. Pottery shattered by the earthquake is repurposed and transformed into pieces of jewellery.
Featuring a silver cable chain and an ornate framed pendant with elegant detail on the back. The chain and pendant are .999 silver plated, and the charm is made of a fragment of china, decorated with blue 'ochiba', or fallen leaves.
Versatile, and very romantic.
Chain length approx. 32 inches plus the charm. Secured with a spring ring clasp so it can be shortened.
Gift wrapped in tissue paper
