This item is currently out of stock
A sew or iron-on patch made by a traditional embroidery atelier in Kyoto, Japan.
The Komachi Odori is a dance performed by famous Geiko and Maiko in Kyoto. Their hair is woven in a Genroku period hairstyle and their kimono are worn in the Katanugi style. It originated in the early Edo period when local girls around Nijo Castle started dancing and playing the drums beautifully down the streets.
If ironing, use a cotton cloth in-between the patch and the iron and be careful with heat-sensitive materials.
