Tenugui are rectangular-shaped Japanese cloths that can be used as a washcloth, towel, muslin cloth, headband, or for gift wrapping. Made from 100% cotton, they can be knotted in a multitude of ways to wrap or carry items.

Almost too good to use, tenugui can also be framed and displayed as wall art.

This one features a cute shiba inu and little cat sleeping together under a cherry blossom tree.

100% cotton, 90cm x 34cm, made in Japan.

The long sides are finished with a selvedge edge whilst the short sides are cut to intentionally fray over time and with washing. This is a traditional technique and helps the tenugui to dry quickly.
