Ushi, meaning bull, are a symbol of hard work, persistence and sincerity in Japan.

As well as being hardworking, this guy is super cute, with two lucky golden horns.

A fresh take on Hariko, the Japanese craft, using papier-mâché to make animal figurines.

Each piece is made and painted by hand, and produced by an organisation near Nara, Japan, which offers jobs and opportunities for persons with disabilities and otherwise facing barriers to employment.
