These beautiful ceramic beakers are handmade by Andrew Pentland. The unusual firing in a wood kiln gives the pot its earthy, scorched colour and tactile, raw-grained surface.
This pared-back modern-rustic-vibe speaks to us of British Country Kitchen style, Shaker, Utilitarian and Japanese influences. The functionality is also integral, the inside is glazed and waterproof.
Would also look great for toothbrushes in a modern bathroom.
Each piece when it comes out of the kiln has subtle differences in flashing, light ash deposits and glaze, all dependent on how the flame has passed by and between the work.
Measures approx. 10cm high. Designed to be used daily, the beaker is dishwasher safe but to keep it at its best we recommended that you hand-wash after use.
