A jar of nori tsukudani paste from Japan, to add some authentic flavour to your East Asian cooking.
After collecting raw seaweed fresh from the sea, this nori seaweed is made through freezing without drying, allowing the umami to release completely. It's then simmered in soy sauce- that's the tsukudani part- to create a traditional Japanese condiment.
Simply add a small spoon of this seaweed paste into a bowl of steamed rice to enjoy.
