Japanese Indigo Tea

'Japan Blue', or Japanese indigo, is inextricable from Japanese culture. The Japanese archipelago is surrounded by it; its dyed cloths are hanging in every doorway and on everyone’s clothes. But you can also eat and drink Japan Blue.

This tea is made from dried and roasted Japanese indigo leaves. It’s grown and harvested in Tokushima, the original birthplace of Japanese indigo and the undisputed indigo capital of the world. The area has been producing indigo for over 400 years where there’s been a history of using indigo tea in folk medicine since ancient times.

This delicious tea is caffeine-free and can be drunk at all ages. By the way- it’s not blue!
