Originally designed as emergency ration food, Japanese bread in a can is a thing. And it's sweet bread too - cake in a can! Imbued with the nostalgic tastes of Showa-era Japan, this sweet bread stays fresh in the can for up to three years before opening.
It’s good for camping, fishing trips, festivals and making people smile.
‘Betsubara’ in Japanese means ‘room for dessert’, or technically, a separate stomach for dessert. Best get your betsubara ready...
Made in Japan. Contains two pieces of bread. Store in a cool dry place. Use by: see bottom of can. The can will make a popping noise when you open it. Consume as soon as possible after opening.
Ingredients: wheat flour, flavoured fat spread, sugar, margarine, egg, food product using milk constituent as a major ingredient, salt, high fructose corn syrup, yeast, flour paste, modified starch, carotene (E160a), emulsifier, flavouring, polysaccharide thickener, lactic acid.
Allergy advice: Contains or may contain traces of Wheat, Eggs, Milk, Soy, Gelatine. Made in a factory where nuts, honey and other allergens are processed.
