Woodfired Chutney Pot
£28
This item is currently out of stock
These beautiful ceramic pots are handmade by Andrew Pentland. The unusual firing in a wood kiln gives the bowl its earthy, scorched colour and tactile, raw-grained surface.
This pared-back modern-rustic-vibe speaks to us of British Country Kitchen style, Shaker, Utilitarian and Japanese influences. The functionality is also integral, the handle provides grip and the pot is a generous size for serving chutney and sauces at the table.
Each piece when it comes out of the kiln has subtle differences in flashing, light ash deposits and glaze, all dependent on how the flame has passed by and between the work.
Measures approx. 19cm across including handle. Designed to be used daily, the pot is dishwasher safe but to keep it at its best we recommended that you hand-wash after use.
