Utagawa Hiroshige was one of the last great masters of the traditional ukiyo-e woodblock style.
Watanabe Seitei was one of the first artists to combine modernist Western and Japanese aesthetics in his work. His pieces were painted over 100 a years ago but look thoroughly contemporary even today.
