Gift wrapping and messages
We gift wrap nearly every product as standard, with no extra charge. Wrapped in tissue, kraft paper, a jewellery box, a Japanese rice bag or a cotton pouch, your order will be sent ready to present to a friend or loved one. (Some dinky gifts like seeds may come wrapped together and we don't wrap greeting cards or particularly large homewares).
You can post a gift directly to your recipient with confidence: we don't include a paper receipt.
To include a free gift message with your order, simply select this option at the checkout. We're no calligraphers but we do hand-write each card in our own inimitable scrawl.
We take our environmental impact seriously and we use recycled, recyclable or biodegradable packaging wherever possible, so please don’t be offended if the outer packaging looks a bit preloved. Your goods will come beautifully wrapped inside, ready to be given as gifts.
Delivery
We have a secure checkout managed by global payment gateway Stripe. Upon placing an order, you will receive a confirmation email and you can always contact us on hello@foundland.com. This email confirmation will also act as your receipt.
We ship using Royal Mail's tracked service and we offer a variety of shipping speeds and rates. We want to be fair and transparent with pricing, so shipping costs are calculated at the checkout and are charged only at cost. You will receive your tracking number in an email once the order is dispatched.
Order before 9am GMT Monday to Friday and we’ll endeavour to hand your goods to your selected courier on the same day, or the next working day if you order over the weekend. Please note that our couriers don't make deliveries on Sundays or public holidays and that dispatch and delivery may take a little longer during busier periods such as Christmas.
We ship internationally with FedEx. Please note that you may be additionally charged for local import fees, duties and customs charges, and these are to be paid by the customer. Similarly any return shipping costs are to be borne by the customer. You can find more information regarding our international deliveries below.
Click & Collect
We offer free click and collect from our shop at 98 Weston Park, London, N8 9PP. What you save in shipping fees you gain in our terrible chat.
We're open 10am-6pm every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 11am-5pm Sunday, but please check online in case of occasional closures.
Please allow 24 hours after placing your order before collection: we’ll drop you an email as soon as it is ready.
Please collect your order within 30 days. After this time, if we haven’t heard from you we will issue a full refund.
Returns
You've worked hard for your money so if you see something that you like but then change your mind, please feel reassured that we will return hassle-free.
We won’t cry…Much…Maybe when no-one’s looking.
To make a return, simply email us at hello@foundland.com within 14 days of receiving your order, with your order number and what you’d like to send back, and we’ll send over the returns instructions.
We accept returns for a refund within 14 days thereafter. To be eligible for a return, your item must be sent back unused and in its original packaging. Your return should include a written or printed order reference so that we can find it. Returned items will be reimbursed the full purchase price only upon arrival at our address and so we recommend using a trackable delivery service. Please note that unless the item is faulty, the outwards and return shipping costs are borne by the customer. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Please note, due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on any underwear, socks, face masks, eye masks, earrings, food, grooming, bathing or cosmetic products.
In the unlikely event that your order arrives faulty or damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt at hello@foundland.com and we’ll do our best to make it up to you.
International delivery and returns
We ship internationally from our base in London, U.K., using a FedEx tracked service. You will receive your tracking number in your order confirmation email.
Delivery charges are calculated at the checkout to match the current FedEx rates - we charge shipping only at cost.
For customs reasons we cannot ship seeds, plant products, incense matches, food, bathing, grooming or cosmetic products outside of the U.K. There may be additional restrictions depending on your county and you are advised to check these with your local postal service before ordering. Some larger items can also not be shipped at this time.
Please note that you may be additionally charged for local import fees, duties and customs charges, and these are to be paid by the customer. There will be a customs declaration form affixed to the outside of the parcel, listing the items inside and their value. This is a legal requirement. It's something to keep in mind should the parcel be a surprise gift.
Unfortunately we aren't able to mark your order as a "gift". It's considered fraud, and we'd be at risk of a fine, and we know you wouldn't want that to happen to us.
We advise that you keep an eye on your parcel’s tracking in case a delivery has been attempted, it’s being held awaiting payment of customs charges or it needs to be picked up at a local depot.
Orders returned to us for reasons such as non-payment of customs charges, an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, failed attempts to deliver, or non-collection from a pickup depot will be refunded less the outward shipping costs and any return shipping costs incurred.
