Japanese Merino Trekking Socks Large

£45

Socks so snuggly yet rugged you’re going to want to marry them, go on a walking honeymoon somewhere cold and have fluffy little sock babies together.

They’re made by Syn Project in Nagano, Japan. This mountainous region has a rich history of walking trails, going back to the Samurai Nakasendo Trail, the main hiking route from Edo Tokyo over to Kyoto.

This history is sewn into every pair, embracing the brand’s philosophy of connecting with nature, and the value of a good walk for a healthy mind and body. Using centuries of walking wisdom, they’re designed and woven to expertly wrap and support the foot.

This style is designed for longer walks and treks: constructed from cosy merino wool which is naturally temperature moderating, highly absorbent and breathable even if wet. Each element of the sock has been carefully considered. The weave is as thick as possible to prevent fatigue without being too tight, elastic gives support to the arch, the tabi style is intended to improve balance and help prevent falls.

Meet you on the trail.
